A LOOK AT HONESTY

A LOOK AT HONESTY

A LOOK WITHIN MYSELF

hon·es·ty

  [on-uh-stee]
noun, plural hon·es·ties.
1.
the quality or fact of being honestuprightness and fairness.
2.
truthfulness, sincerity, or frankness.
3.
freedom from deceit or fraud.

Can anyone say they are always honest?

I will say I have NOT always been honest.

The definition of honest does not always fit me, it actually causes stress and unhappiness within myself and for my husband.
It isn't just a little thing as I have always believed.
It is the little white lies we tell ourselves and others that end up hurting the most.

Honesty  is the basis of effective communication and healthy relationships.

The quote below is just like myself....  trying to make people happy.

“[H]iding how you really feel and trying to make everyone happy doesn't make you nice, it just makes you a liar.”
― Jenny O'ConnellThe Book of Luke

This is where I start my journey with breaking the circle.

Stop what I learned from my elders & learn what I want, learn to just be honest No matter how small the subject is. For one thing it sure will eliminate my inner feelings. Stop trying to make so many people happy, even if they don't like your answer to their question .

Each day will be a new challenge.

Growing up in a abusive environment has followed me more then I realized.

So far my journey with this has been awesome.

My husband sure is enjoying it more.

Introduction

What is breaking the circle about?

Everyone has at one time or another told a lie, or stretched the truth, didn't say the whole truth, I am sure if your reading this you know what I am saying.

I am writing this as a healing therapy for myself as away to break the circle that has been in my life for 49 years.. (of course I don't remember my early years..lol)

There are many things we grow-up learning from parents, grandparents, friends or other relatives it becomes away of life, a way of normal thinking. Do we know better as we are kids? Probably Not, it is what we learn.

There are many people in this world trying everyday to break some sort of bad habit, or circle ... I hope that if anyone reads this blog that they will feel free to comment or tell their story.

So today starts, a deep down look into why I have circles to break... as I think deeply, and learn new thinking I will be posting to this blog as a look back (later on) and for my own spiritual healing for myself, and my husband & my marriage.
